Networking takes time. It takes time to have conversations with people and develop mutually beneficial professional relationships. If you wait until networking is important, it will be too late. It's something we need to do now in order to have the opportunities in the future. That's why I would say it's important today. The good news is, you don't have to dedicate a lot of hours to it. One conversation a day or week will be all the networking you need to do now.
